World renowned radio/TV/hip hop personality Angie Martinez made a name for herself as a disc jockey on New York's hip hop radio station Hot 97. Working with the legendary Funkmaster Flex, she also began appearing at and hosting major hip-hop parties.
She debuted her rapping skills in the late ‘90s, cutting her rhyming teeth on a host of underground mix tapes before appearing on Lil' Kim's 1997 hit remix, "Not Tonite”, and tracking with superstars like Mary J. Blige. Martinez also performed on the Grammy-nominated single "Ladies’ Night" with Missy Elliott, Lil' Kim, Left Eye and Da Brat.
Shortly afterwards, she released two of her own albums entitled, "Up Close and Personal" (joined by superstar admirers Jay-Z, Snoop Dogg, Busta Rhymes, and others), and "Animal House." Angie has also appeared in the movies "Brown Sugar" and “State Property 2”.
