DJ Green Lantern got his start as a producer and club DJ before blasting off his first mixtape in 1995, and quickly became one of the most anticipated DJs/producers/artists in hip-hop. Lantern was signed by Eminem in 2002 to become the “Shady Records Official Deejay”, and he also produced Ludacris' “Number One Spot”, the second single off of his album “The Red Light District”. In addition to several television appearances from MTV’s “Direct Effect” to BET’s “Rap City”, Lantern has hosted his own radio mixshows on New York’s largest hip-hop station WQHT-Hot 97. Green Lantern has also done industry mixtapes for Shady Records, Heineken, Roc-A-Fella, Def Jam, LOUD Records, Ecko Clothing, Dr. Pepper, VIBE Magazine, and Burton Snowboards. As of November 2005, Green Lantern has signed to RSMG (Russell Simmons Music Group)/Def Jam Records, which is slated to release his long-anticipated album “The Invasion” in 2006.
