With a resounding Wham!, George Michael burst onto the pop-music scene with his buddy Andrew Ridgeley in 1982. For the next four years, the Wham! duo scored hit after hit. Surprisingly, the album contained a large number of compilation tracks and duets that hadn't previously been released, including a duet with Aretha Franklin, "I Knew You Were Waiting (For Me)"; "Desafinado", with Brazilian legend Astrud Gilberto; and the Elton John duet "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me".
